Isolation and rest is the best treatment as well as the best preventive for chicken pox. The affected person should stay in physical rest for the period until the blisters are all curd and dried up completely. If absolute isolation is not possible, the patient should not come in close contact with other members of the house for best possible prevention.
In normal cases chicken pox is cured in one week time by home remedies and rest, but incase the patient is suffering from high fever, terribly painful blisters with yellowish or greenish pus oozing, continuous vomiting, in case of acute dehydration, and/ or in case any rash in eye, you should consult a doctor immediately for clinical advice.
