Cause of Ovarian Pain: Ovarian Tumor
Tumors are some fleshy lumps, so is ovarian tumors; there is no definite cause for ovarian tumor to develop. As tumor can grow in any other part of body so in Ovary may have suffered from growth of tumor. The tumor can be carcinogenic [malignant] or non-cancerous [benign] type. The general symptoms of ovarian tumor are bloating and feeling of fullness in the lower abdomen, frequent indigestion, frequent urge for urination, severe constipation or sever diarrhea, loss of appetite and abnormal clueless weight gain or weight loss.
If these symptoms are present or one or two symptoms ate seen prevalent in a patient it is wise to consult a gynecologist for clinical investigation of the problems and to start the treatment a soon as possible.
The treatment of ovarian tumor are done after its diagnosis; computed tomography (CT) or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and position emission tomography(PET) are the digital scanning processes which doctors prefer to avail against the detection of ovarian tumor.
CA-125 is a blood test which detects a protein. The typicality of this protein is its availability with higher count in those women who are suffering from ovarian cancer. However, this result of this anticipation may be wrong also in case of some woman because they do not show any sensitivity with this type of blood test.
The treatment process of ovarian tumors is different. This is manly done by aparotomy, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy.
Aparotomy is a surgical process where the surgery is performed through a small incision made in the stomach. The process which removes the tumor tissue is called debulking.
If the tumor is benign type only the tumor tissues are removed but in case the tumor proves to be malignant, the surgeon prefers to eliminate ovary, uterus, fallopian tube, intestines covered by fatty tissues and the lymph nodes of nearest positions.
Chemotherapy is an administrating form of drug given by vein or by mouth or in the direst mode for abdomen. This therapy or drugs are used against ovarian tumor if this proves to be carcinogenic.
Chemo medicine kills the germs cell but as it kills germ cells, without exception it kills normal cells also resulting in nausea, vomiting, hair loss, damage in kidney. Once the treatment is over, these abnormal conditions swipe away.
If the ovarian tumor is cancerous then only in some specific cases radiation therapy is conducted. In fact in most of the cancerous ovary tumor the radiation therapy is not used.
