Breast cancer risk
The risk factor detects the susceptibility of an individual against any disease or against any unwanted physical condition. Similarly breast cancer has specific risk factors. Link with any of these risk factors does not necessarily mean that the women comply with the risk factor will surely suffer from cancer; rather it is better to say that those who are within the range of the risk factors are more vulnerable in developing breast cancer.

Ascending age is one of the main contributing factors in developing breast cancer in a woman. It has been found that those who have crossed their 50s are more at risk of development of breast cancer.
Those women has genetic history of breast cancer, they have the chance of developing breast cancer. However, there are many patients of breast cancer all over the world who had no family history of breast cancer.
If there is any history of receiving radiation for any treatment purpose, there is fair chance for the patient to have breast cancer in his/her later period of life. Women are extended risk for developing breast cancer for this reason.
Overweight ladies have more risk for development of breast cancer. Rather it is better to say that obesity or overweight problem may induce breast cancer for the female obesity victims.
Females, who reached at their puberty below 12 years of age, are more vulnerable for developing breast cancer. Alternatively, those who have attained menopause after 55 age-bracket, they are more vulnerable to have breast cancer.
Women who had the history of having their first child over the age of 35 may have more risk of having breast cancer.
Alcohol consumption habit may induce the problem of breast cancer; however, needless to mention that women who drink alcohol regularly are at increased risk of having breast cancer.
Female patients who are under hormone replace therapy treatment and take medication combining estrogen and progesterone combination for treatment of menopausal syndrome are more vulnerable for development of breast cancer in them.
