Body Care Tips for Monsoon Season
Monsoon is just around the corner. There are very few people who do not like rainy season. But monsoon maladies we come across take away all our excitements.
And soon we and become tired of our wet and frizzy hair, skin eruption, pimples, dandruff and dripping eye liner. But don’t worry. You can tackle these monsoon blues and retain your health and elegant appearance by following these tips.
Getting through Sweating problem
Humidity causes lot of skin problems during monsoon. Constant sweating and drying can cause dehydration. To keep off the sweat from your face, wash your face thoroughly with anti-bacterial face wash and apply moisturizer when it gets dry. Rub ice cube on your face to reduce perspiration rate.
Pimple problem
During monsoon oily skin are prone to rashes and pimples. There are many home made facial packs which can be made with easily available ingredients present at home, which will remove excess oil from your skin and help to keep your face clean and clear. Also use anti acne face wash to wash your face.
To hydrate your skin, use water based moisturizer. Use oil free sunscreen to protect your skin from UV rays that usually gets trapped under clouds and creates freckles or pigmentation. If your skin is dry, use oil based moisturizer that can heal eruption and give smooth and flawless skin.
Hair Problem
During rainy season, hair often gets frizzy and lifeless and after shampooing, it becomes oily very soon because of sweating. It is necessary to keep your scalp clean by shampooing and conditioning regularly. For oily hair, use a purifying shampoo, and for dry hair use a moisturizing shampoo.
Prevent fungal infection and bad odor
During monsoons, air borne and waterborne microbes are common. Use anti bacterial soap and toner to prevent fungal and bacterial infection. Instead of wearing close shoes which can retain moisture wear open shoes. Wash and dry your feet properly and use anti fungal powder. Soak your feet in lukewarm water with potassium permanganate to disinfect your feet.
You can use anti-bacterial face wash and toner too. If your skin is dry, tone your skin with five drops of chamomile oil after mixing 1 tsp milk and for oily skin use 10 drops of Lavender oil mixed with one tsp water.
During rainy season always keep your skin clean and fresh by using astringent for oily skin and toner for dry and normal skin and wear water proof make up.
