Blood In Urine [Hematuria]

Blood found in urine is a common health disorder and in medical term it is named as Hematuria. Sometimes blood in urine signifies some implied problem in urinary tract; but in some cases blood in urine is negligible amount refers no problem of concern.

However, the blood in urine is an intricate issue and whether this problem demand medical concern or not is to be solely decided by the consulting physician.

Hematuria has different causes. It may be initiated by infection, injury, or inflammation to the urinary system.

Typically, microscopic hematuria signifies damage of the upper urinary tract, whether visible urinary blood signifies damage to infection to lower tract. But there is no fixed rule for this problem.

The most common cause for blood in urine is Kidney stone and infection in urinary tract and this is most seen in case of people with below 40 years of age.

Hematuria is seen in older people but in most of the cases the symptom is initiated by problem and infection in prostrate, bladder, and kidney. This problem is mostly seen in the senior people above 40 years of age.

However, the irony of the situation about hematuria is it may persist for different reason and disorders at a time present in health system.

Blood in urine is a symptom not a disease, so the reason behind the problem needs to be sorted out for the solution of the problem.

In minor hematuria the color of urine remains normal, the trace of blood can be traced only through the introspection under a microscope.

In case of gross hematuria, the color of urine seems of pinkish or like cola or red; sometimes small clots are also seen in the urine. However, the visibility or proportion of blood in urine does not denote the intensity of the problem.

Sometimes, mild fever, pain back, gross-weight loss, and nausea and vomiting are the common symptoms of hematuria.

If there is ever blood seen in urine, it is better to contact doctor or health care center as early as possible to avoid the chance of further risk.
