Bleeding gums: Easy treatment remedies

Bleeding gums are medically termed as gingivitis. In general, gum infections are caused by fungal, bacterial, or viral attacks. Inflammation, erosion of the teeth gums are the main symptoms against this disease.

Bleeding gums is a serious problem and it needs regular medical dental check up and careful treatment by professional dentist.

Bleeding gum is never experienced alone; it is felt with some additional symptoms like pain, swollen gums etc. Although medications can reduce pain and inflammation of gums, it requires lengthy treatment to set dental health in stable condition.
While medications can improve dental and gum health and reduce annoying symptoms, regular brushing, flossing, and periodical check can maintain consistent good dental health.

Commonly, treatment for bleeding gum requires professional cleaning of accumulated plaque and tarter on dental roots. This process is called scaling; sometimes the dentist may decide to extrude a damaged tooth to prevent further worsening of dental health. In many instances dentist repairs rough tooth surface and removes various dental irritants of the patients suffering from complication of bleeding gums.

Apart from dentist’s gum treatment procedure, self-care remedies take care a lot for over all health for teeth and gums. Proper brushing, regular flossing, gum massage, use of good toothpaste, and antibacterial mouthwash are the common tools for bleeding gums treatment remedies.

Those who are suffering from bleeding gums problem are often recommended to take vitamin C, vitamin A and calcium supplements at regular basis for certain period. These supplements will promote better dental and gum health and work as natural preventive for problems like bleeding gums.

Regular 2-3 times gargling with herbal rinse made of guava peel and tender guava leaves’ decoction, 10 gram of alum, and 10 gram of black pepper, and 10grams of black salt is a reliable natural remedy to stop bleeding from gum.
Alternatively, sprinkling ½ teaspoon dried neem leaf powder on toothbrush at the morning and at bed time cures the problem gums bleeding with immediate effect.

Essential oils like tea tree oil, geranium oil, and lemon oil are helpful for bleeding gums treatment for their antibacterial and anti fungal medicinal qualities.  Adding 1-2 drops of these three oils combination in one glass of water will work good natural mouthwash for bleeding gums treatment.
