Bladder infection symptoms
In most cases bladder infection is caused by bacterial infection and it is popularly known as urinary tract infection. A bladder infection can be extremely painful and irritating and if left untreated can be a serious health issue for kidneys. Bladder infection often termed as cystitis.
There are different reasons behind the infection of cystitis; and in certain cases, cystitis occurs as a side effect of some other health problems. For example, diabetic patients suffer from frequent incident of bladder infection.
Bladder infection symptoms are easy readable and extremely bothering. However, the discomfort is to be taken in immediate medical concern otherwise the initial problems may lead toward serious consequences.
The common symptoms for bladder infection are strong unrelenting urge for urination although the patient may pass small amount of urine every time. The patient may feel unusual and painful burning pain in the urinary tract as well as in lower abdominal area while passing the urine.
Those who are affected by bladder infection will pass unusual type of urine like cloudy, or dark in color; the constituency of urine is found heavy than normal urine density and often the urine smells odd and foul.
Sometimes the color of urine becomes red as blood may come with urine. This condition is called heamturia.
Ladies suffering from bladder infection are seen to have acute discomfort in the pelvic region; a pseudo-feeling of full bladder and discomfort of tight abdomen are also other general associated symptoms for bladder infection.
Due to infection in bladder often the patient starts suffering from low-grade fever. The fever is an indication of infection and is to be considered as serious condition because it is anticipated that the infection has reached kidney, to some extent.
Bladder infection is seen in children also. The symptoms are similar to adults; however, bedwetting is an obvious symptom of urinary tract infection for the children.
Those who suffer from bladder infection, often suffer from painful sexual intercourse. For male patients discomfort and pain in scrotum and penis is another obvious symptom of bladder infection.
Urinary incontinence is another major symptom of bladder infection. Due to infection the muscles in bladder get weak and tend to lose their grip. The problem of urinary incontinence gets worse for women at the time of theirĀ menstrual bleeding.
