A Yummy Diet Recipe- Stuffed Mushrooms

Everybody wants to eat yummy food. However, obesity is one aspect that always restricts that. Diet recipes can help a person a lot in this regard. Diet recipes are the food preparations that are low in calories and offer good taste.

Stuffed Mushroom is a diet recipe that offers 175 calories only. This delicious recipe is made from Pecorino Romano, which is a type of cheese.

Ingredients of this recipe are white mushrooms, 28 in number, half cup of Romano cheese, half cup dried bread crumbs, two peeled and minced garlic cloves, one tablespoon of chopped mint leaves, one-third cup of extra virgin olive oil and two tablespoons of chopped parsley leaves. A person can add salt and pepper as per his taste.

Total fat content in this diet recipe is 13 grams. Amount of sodium offered is 264 mg and total carbohydrate content is 9.4 grams. Amount of fiber and protein contained in this diet recipe is 1.3 grams and 6.8 grams respectively. This recipe can be served from 7-9 persons.

For making this recipe, oven has to be put on pre-heat up to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. In a medium bowl, cheese, bread crumbs, garlic, mint and parsley leaves, and two tablespoons of olive oil are blended and stirred. As per the taste, black pepper and salt are added to this mixture.

For the purpose of coating of dish, a heavy baking sheet is drizzled with olive oil. In the mushroom cavities, which have to be carved out perfectly, fillings of mixture prepared above, are spooned.

These mushrooms are then put on a baking sheet. Care should be taken that cavity side of mushroom is on upper side. Remaining olive oil is then sprinkled on the mushrooms and the preparation is baked for up to half an hour in the oven. This diet recipe is ready to eat when the mushrooms become tender and the filling inside these become golden in color.

When served hot, it offers an amazing taste but with low calories. If a person lives in a dry area, he can add more olive oil to the preparation. For adding more moisture to the recipe, mushroom stems can be chopped. These are then added to the mixture of bread crumb.
