Repeat the process once again. This salt water rinse will reduce the pain and also displace the infection from interior parts to the tongue’s surface. Besides, salt neutralizes the acids present inside the mouth thereby preventing bacterial growth. By preventing the bacteria from growing further, salt water heals burnt tongue rapidly.

Cold Therapy

Burnt tongue can also be healed with cold things or simply cold water. Just hold out your tongue under the water tap and let the cold water flow into your mouth and cancel the heat. You can simply drink some ice cold water and hold it for sometime inside the mouth before completely swallowing it.

As pain related to burnt tongue lasts for long, repeating the above-mentioned process can be really helpful in healing burnt tongue real fast. You can also suck an ice cube or have a popsicle for that matter.

Honey
